ROSTERS

POSTIONS

The following positions are required to fill out a proper fantasy roster:

1 QUARTERBACK

1 RUNNING BACK

2 WIDE RECEIVERS

1 TIGHT END

-OR- 3RD RECEIVER

1 KICKER

1 DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

1 LINEBACKER

1 DEFENSIVE BACK

  1 TEAM DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS

Every NFL player is categorized into one of the above positions and will be scored according to charts for that position ONLY.  No player can qualify for more than one position.  All position judgments are made by the Commish, and cannot change during the course of the year.

REQUIREMENTS

All rosters must reflect the necessary positions as seen above throughout the year.  There are a few specific requirements that must be met as well:

     -  You can only have a total of three players (including Team Defense) from any single NFL team

     -  You may have a single rookie on your roster at any point during the year, but no owner may have

more than 1 (certain exceptions apply – see ROOKIES below)

QUARTERBACKS & KICKERS

Your Quarterback and Kicker positions are insured.  In the case that your Quarterback does not play an entire game, you will be given credit for the backups’ stats.  You will receive points for the Quarterback who scores the most points, regardless of how long he plays.  This will happen when a Quarterback is injured or pulled due to a poor performance.  This is also the case for Placekickers.  Weekly scoring outputs for quarterbacks and kickers are NOT a combination of multiple players’ scores.

ROOKIES

At no time can an owner have more than one rookie on their roster; however, if you have a backup Quarterback or Kicker who is a rookie and he becomes the starter, you will score points according to the rookie scoring format.  You roster is legal in this case, but if you want to make a WAIVER WIRE move, you MUST adjust your roster accordingly.

A player is considered a rookie if he is playing in his first year either as a drafted player or a free-agent signee.  A player is not considered a rookie if he has ever made an NFL roster (including practice squad) or has previous football experience in any of the other professional football leagues (Canadian, NFL Europe, Arena league etc.).

PENALTIES

All roster requirements must be maintained throughout the season.  If the requirements are not met you must make the proper adjustments.  If any of the roster requirements are not kept during the year, you will forfeit any scoring from the trouble position during that time period.
